Aero Vodochody unveiled their new Emissionless L-39 Silent







according to their FB page

‚Introducing the new emissionless aircraft Aero L-39 Silent. l ✈️ Aero joins the current trend of aviation electrification and develops a fully electrified aircraft with the nickname "Silent".
1 Top speed 999 km/h and a flight up to 1,499 kilometers
🔌 Auto-rotating plug-in hybrid with recuperation when falling to the ground

Ken second that view. Range is a little suspect give most electric cars that I've looked are limited to about 300 to 500 miles

It is obviously a fly by wire system so should give excellent range provided the cable is light and long enough

That would only work for low level IFR surely (It Follows Roads). Railway bridges would require some tricky flying too.

Trouble with Houchins is finding one with a charged battery to start the Houchin you want to use, especially if that one has a flat battery too. Then you need to find another Houchin to start that Houchin and so on

Concur! Caused the boss of the Košice training squadron to spin out of a low-speed scissors during a 1v1 in the overhead. Luckily he managed to recover, albeit well below base ht! He also had a good sense of humour, as I recall.

Perhaps the cables got tangled? That can happen if there is a bit of a crosswind.
