Or so we were told anyways!
One of the local refuse collectors was hit by a car at work one day. First thing managers asked. 'Was he wearing his steel toed boots'. Second thing 'Was he wearing hi vis jacket'. Or as OC Domestic called it, the shield of invisiblity.

Salute!

After a few days I wonder where that "Bald" poster went. Of course his/her/it's profile is not clear, but would be nice to compare notes from the logbook about getting shot at and shot up.

Gums sends....

You forgot "down" gums

Bald may get an education about the utility of callsigns by watching these two videos put together by Ward Carroll an ex F-14 RIO of quite some considerable experience including combat

On the other hand Bald might wish to have a conversation with these chaps about their cruisey day in the office, only one aircraft lost.

Apparently (according to the Afterburner Podcast) the F-16 returned to base only to find NONE of his countermeasures had been expended...he dodged all those SAMs on his own!

This thread (and also the "Not so Woke Reds") reminds me of a USAF A-7 deployment (OK ANG from memory) to Wittering in the late 80's. Some chaps who had a visit to the unit were all given Calling cards by the crews, indicating that everyone should beware of heavy drinking and lock away their daughters etc. I can imagine that the first Female aircrew had a lot to put up with.......

FAWG

The call sign has emerged in a national paper
Frolicking a woman gay for those who'd rather not follow the link.

I propose a call sign for our Minister of Defense - ITRWI

Is this really worth it
