I am trying to understand, is Pinnacle being paid £144m to answer the phone? Married Quarters have never been wonderful. My own experience was as a very small child. Is this just another example poor procurement?

Oh for the days of a Families Flight, Station Services Squadron and Domestic Supply Flight, At least you could go and talk to someone. The quality of quarters was not great even then, but there has been no discernible improvement since, judging by how my offspring, still in quarters, are being treated.

Seems nothing has changed since I left in '90. I recall our MQ at Middle Wallop on my pilot course had lino floor tiles nailed down with the heads protruding by around half an inch. The kids bedroom window had a sheet of plywood nailed to the frame as a replacement glass pane. Our sons were 2 years old and 3 months old respectively; the Missus and I had to be on watch all the time in case they went near the nails.
That was prior to outsourcing and the resultant profiteering. I feel truly sorry for todays' MQ occupants.

Just one example of desperation of 5+ Service Families at RMA Sandhurst - likely 100s across the country. It is beyond unacceptable @_pinnaclegroup @PinnacleSF. This mum has a son with disabilities & you don’t even answer the phone….. they are not fit for purpose.

Earlier I spoke of a friend who has had no hearing/hot water since 19 Oct.

Spent time with a helicopter pilot from the UK who was in Australia for 2 year pilot exchange, he had nothing good to say about his UK accomadations, raved about his australian accomodations. Soon as his time was up in the with the UK military he applied and a was accepted. Sounds like its gotten worse in the last 10 years
Hasn't the state of MQs always been dire? in 1976 my then wife and I moved into a two bed MQ that was heated with single fireplace with hot water from a solid fuel boiler in the kitchen, that would boil the tank if used too enthusiastically. The place was a concrete prefab with zero insulation and metal crittal windows that were warped and twisted so none shut properly. Works and bricks had "fixed" some of the broken window frames by bolting them closed. Meant there was no opening window in one of the bedrooms at all. The lino tiles on the ground floor were lifting and warped, with the black gunge supposed to be holding them down coming out around the cracks and joins. The kitchen units (if they could be called that) were falling apart such that a couple of the drawers were unusable. The back door had been patched with a sheet of nailed on plywood as a temporary repair that had clearly been done years before, as the plywood was delaminating.

Just another example of broken UK, some of the most professional and dedicated service people in the world and they get treated in a disgraceful manner., Same old UK business model of outsourcing every thing imagineable and then the outsource companies do everythign they can to weasel out of the contract terms to increase their own profitability at tax payers expanse and with no regard to providing the service they signed up for. Then we ask serving personnel to go and give up their Christmas to become scabs coverign other dedicated souls , ie nurses, who also get treated like this. Maybe this time the army should say get lost to the politicians . Perhaps those MPs claiming huge second home allowances should be offered accomodation in some miltary areas to see how they would feel about living there.

@PinnacleSF . Remember that tree I asked you to remove as it was rotten as it was a risk to my animals and children.
The tree collapsed on Mon night whilst my dogs were in the garden.
My dog was pts today due to spinal trauma and losing the use of her legs…
