I also echo what a nice chap he is, but he has had been in and around some proper howlers under his leadership too. Remember the RAF Roundel bikini within the crappy RAF Clothing Collection, also the RAF Spirit of Adventure disaster or being in and around UK MFTS - all of which have been dissected previously on this forum. He has also been front and centre pushing the ASTRA thing, which also seems to be having a difficult birth!

He should have stuck his three stars over his bits like they do on censored photo's.
Don't get me wrong, I think Mayhew would be epic as CAS, but don't think he's necessarily a 'shoo-in'.

With what’s going on in the world besides giving us amusing naked jokes this really is a non story. Unless he wore brown shoes after 6pm. Or HKLP. That would be positively offensive.
I couldn't help noticing that the OP's moniker and location appear reasonably appropriate in the circumstances, but part of the online Sun's headline suggesting that the officer in question had been "suspended and probed by cops" seems distinctly below the belt.
