Boeing chase planes T-33 Red Bird & Blue Bird bow out

Boeing pair of chase planes T-33 T Birds known as Red Bird and Blue Bird made their last flight. Am led to believe they will bereplaced by TA-4 Skyhawks.

Didn't they retire them back in early December?

Having trained on the T33 I then had to come home and "be taught to fly real aircraft" on the Vampire T11. I still havn't got over it. Mark you, the FB 5s and 9s were good fun.
