As a recent PPRUNE joiner I started with one PM allowed either in or out. I got round it by drafting the response and then opening another tab to delete the incoming message so I could send - then deleting my reply once sent. Having passed 10 posts, I now have an allowance of 150.

I received the following email from PPRUNE when I started:
