Lightning and Shackleton engine runs

For those who have an interest in seeing (and hearing) ex Military hardware running, this coming Saturday the 5th of August, Gatwick Aviation Museum will be running their Lightning F53 AND their Mk3 Shackleton.

The Lightning is due to run at 13:00 and the Shack at 14:30.
As usual this is conditional on aircraft serviceability and weather.

For more info see the web site or facebook pages.

Like Shakespeare's 'gentlemen in England now a bed' I was not there ! I had intended to go but a family 'emergency' put paid to that alas.
As an ex Lightning 'techie' I would have loved to see one run again especially as it was happening locally.
Respect to all for getting both a/c going.
