Airman's Cross, Stonehenge

English Heritage have some explaining to do – missing from public view for five years, the plaque marking the re-dedication of the Airman’s Cross in 1996 has been found when a garden in Salisbury was being cleared by the property’s new owner.

Loraine and Wilson are also remembered on a new memorial to be unveiled at the Museum on 1 September. Its a memorial to all those killed during Army flying operations, peacetime as well as war.


That plaque is interesting as I don't it think it was the one by the cross when it was in the middle of the roundabout before it was moved to the new visitors centre. Happy its now safe though.
