RAF C-130 50th Anniversary

According to the Torygraph tomorrow is the 50th anniversary of the delivery of the first RAF C-130.

I understand that there is to be a flypast of up to four Hercs at Marshall's Cambridge base at 12:00 on Monday 19th . Weather etc permitting !

Four Hercs up from BZN c/s Omen 1 to 4 currently with Coningsby radar .

Edit ; flypast completed as planned

Heard, but not seen as they were above the clag. Unlike the MV-22 who came through a few minutes later and was clearly visible.

The first K to arrive was XV177. XV176 didn't arrive until in the UK until May 1967 and was probably around the 14th to turn up (shows how quick delivery was!).
