On the Telegraph website.

Love the touch of 'salesman-spiel'
“They are all made of aluminium so they will never rust or rot.”

But its TRUE!!! Wood rots and iron/steel rusts. Aluminum certainly corrodes but it neither rots nor rusts. ;-)

and given that you would no longer be dependent on Wastelands to produce a gearbox overhaul on time, highly serviceable.

They would make great static caravans for tourists.

I once was involved in buying a Canberra PR9 in full working flyable condition from the MoD. Including free delivery to an airfield of our choice, it cost less than £20,000.

A Sea King that has been gutted of the major expensive parts for up to £20K - I don't think so!

No salesman worth his salt will sell you an aircraft, or any capital equipment for that matter, for free. Methinks therefore that the seller will be making a good return on these carcasses.

And, no doubt, you could be charged for lifting it onto your trailer as well.

There is a Lynx somewhere that is used for exactly that purpose. It was in the Times a few weeks ago.

the hulks can be bought for between £10,000 and £20,000
I'd pay to have one removed from my garden!
Rather have this for £5500. I have a smaller one as a workshop with insulated floor, roof and double glazing:
