Haraka, I'd mostly agree. L*s H*w* and 'Gentleman John' M*****ll were good guys. But a couple of others certainly weren't in 14 GE days - including one nasty Scot and another Flt Cdr ('007')who accused the late Don Turbitt of having 'unofficer-like bone structure'.....
But those two were the exceptions.
As this was the 'Greenshield Stamp' era, one chap on (I think) 18 GE arrived to find himself higher up the Air Force List than his blanket-stacker Flt Cdr. Fortunately they both saw the funny side and it was never an issue.
The WIWOL pi$$-up sounded great, newt - good to know that there are so many of you still about!

It was Beags but there were still a few who did not attend! As usual, I had to be steered home! Then had to go to the 92 Squadron lunch next day! Bit of a headache on Sunday morning but a jolly fine time had by all
