Osby - a 3 star!

Just heard some excellent news in the pub that Phil "Osby" Osborne is to become a 3-star. What excellent news for a thoroughly down-to-earth and capable chap...

To paraphrase "fack me!"

Interesting appointment he's going to. Not entirely sure the rarified atmosphere of the Joint a Intelligence Committee which he will be Deputy Chair is quite ready for such straight talking!

It would be nice to see him enter the world of politics. Replacing William Hague as Foreign Minister would be a good place to start!

Instead of Hague's "Benghaaaaarrrzi" it would be "Ben-fackin-gazi"!

A true leader and straight talker - the RAF was built on them. Bucking the trend, well done Osby!

Fantastic news.
Remember both him and Baggers as relatively JOs as a flying pair in RAFG. More importantly, he remembered me on a recent visit to ISTAR capital, when he strode directly across the room, bypassing many officers to shake my hand vigorously whilst asking how I was getting on 'as an old scrote'
A career in the diplomatic core, or Padre in Chief, has been bypassed.

I must be getting old - don't understand this 'star' stuff.
Look forward to, perhaps, meeting, or hearing, the gentleman in the Club
