DoD Aviation Plan shows "shrinking inventory at increasing cost"

Interesting viewpoint here on the Pentagon's Aviation Plan. It attempts to demonstrate that quantity does not always beat quality even with over 3,000 F/A aircraft on the books. The headline refers to the fact that the plan itself cost over a million dollars to produce!

The Pentagon

...it evidences the Defense Department’s persistent refusal to acknowledge the overriding and fundamental air power issues. Bottom line — America’s combat aviation inventory and our air combat capability are:

– Decaying.
– Growing smaller and older.
– Becoming ever more costly.

$1.00mm survey

That's what you have to pay for rocket scientists I guess......

Maybe some of our experts went abroad. How else would you pay so much to people to tell you what you already knew, and was quite obvious anyway?
