Don't be so hard on yourself Flieg, I'm sure your not that bad.
The operation to remove your eyelid from your rectum isn't too painful and once done, will remove your ****ty outlook on things. Only then will you realise the full beauty of the Lightning!

Ah! This were the days.
I had always wanted to be the "intelligence' behind the radar that.....'' (1.22'ish) but sadly never quite got to that level and had to just settle for flying it.

Oh dear, I can feel another 'frightening' thread coming on...........................
It is odd, really - I never set out as lad 'wanting' to fly it, but thoroughly enjoyed it when I did, and it never let me down despite all the problems it had, but the beastie I REALLY wanted to fly, the Harrier, did

Better than sex thats for sure!!
Never flew the beast, but I can't say she was ugly. A fine part of British (excluding Scotland) aviation history.

Aha, the lovely aircraft I signed up to fly.
Never got near one until I was lucky enough to park alongside them at the Last Lightning show in 1987! Bit late then...

Is it just me, or did it look as if the pilot in the vid was nodding off - and it seemed to be a long day into night sortie (I thought the average sortie was about the same length as the actual vid clip...).
