Sorry RR, as a military aviator I thought I was entitled to post within this forum? T'was only meant as some light-hearted Yuletide banter, there's many another thread in here not strictly limited to military aviation. The clue is in the title 'Military Aircrew'. Merry Christmas.

..... finding out (on the 22nd) that your appeal against redundancy has been unsuccessful.

Still, red wine is the solution to all life's problems.

(What's exercise?)

Oh, **** the Olympics, I've DVDs of Top Gear to watch.

Why bother applying for redundancy in the first place if all you were going to do was change your mind.

I didn't apply for it.

I've read between the lines on a few occasions, but I don't own glasses capable of that magnification.

Sorry, not after sympathy, red wine (and port) and internet are not comfortable bedfellows.

Well then, I guess they just don't want you.

Think of the money as an early Christmas bonus and start your resettlement in the new year.

When I look at what I'm leaving behind I don't get too depressed.

Willard.

Best wishes and hoping that next year is a good one for you

Life outside of the military is very different, and folks who can bull**** well seem to get ahead in many roles, but a good military mind and positive attitude will always be a winning combination IMHO.

Merry Christmas one and all

What does being "in the bath" have to do with military aviation? If you really are the age you claim, have someone with banter- and non-brain-dead-skills vet your draft posts. GABM.

You say you are new here. As one of my flight's nearly-end-of-tour Fg Offs told the green shield stamp Flt Lt to whom I assigned him as his mentor, "Don't you forget it",when the GSS officer introduced himself to his mentor by saying, "I'm new here".

Or am I reacting to a f...... troll? If so, shame on me, but it is Christmas Eve lunchtime.
