.....the day after tomorrow.

NutLoose 23rd Dec 2011 20:39

...like a dose of piles, you know it is there, but you wish it wasn't, as it normally is a right pain in the a**.

diginagain 23rd Dec 2011 20:43

....cancelled. Again.

llamaman 23rd Dec 2011 21:45

Sorry RR, as a military aviator I thought I was entitled to post within this forum? T'was only meant as some light-hearted Yuletide banter, there's many another thread in here not strictly limited to military aviation. The clue is in the title 'Military Aircrew'. Merry Christmas.

Overindulgence; exercise (to compensate)
..........next year...

And a Christmas cuddle..

Willard Whyte 23rd Dec 2011 22:01

..... finding out (on the 22nd) that your appeal against redundancy has been unsuccessful.

Still, red wine is the solution to all life's problems.

(What's exercise?)

Oh, **** the Olympics, I've DVDs of Top Gear to watch.

NutLoose 23rd Dec 2011 22:14

Sh*t Willard :(

Hope it isn't true

Willard Whyte 23rd Dec 2011 22:16

Too true. Thanks anyhoo.

crystal10 23rd Dec 2011 22:27

Why bother applying for redundancy in the first place if all you were going to do was change your mind.

Willard Whyte 23rd Dec 2011 22:31

I didn't apply for it.

I've read between the lines on a few occasions, but I don't own glasses capable of that magnification.

Sorry, not after sympathy, red wine (and port) and internet are not comfortable bedfellows.

llamaman 23rd Dec 2011 22:33

Sorry to hear that Willard, was meant to be a light-hearted thread!

Well then, I guess they just don't want you. :=

Think of the money as an early Christmas bonus and start your resettlement in the new year.

Willard Whyte 23rd Dec 2011 22:37

Sorry to hear that Willard, was meant to be a light-hearted thread!]
When I look at what I'm leaving behind I don't get too depressed.

NutLoose 24th Dec 2011 08:57

So Back too

Christmas is..................

the time of year the RAF goes high tech......

Men with shovels clearing hangar doors
Men in 4 tonners again with shovels de-icing roads

Men with shovels full stop

Wander00 24th Dec 2011 10:31

Seeing the Military Wives Choir wipe the smug smile off Simon Cowell's face - "well done", Ladies, on all accounts!

barnstormer1968 24th Dec 2011 12:04

Willard.

Best wishes and hoping that next year is a good one for you :ok:

Life outside of the military is very different, and folks who can bull**** well seem to get ahead in many roles, but a good military mind and positive attitude will always be a winning combination IMHO.

Merry Christmas one and all :)
