Typhoon tearaway....
It was a very good (and not 'impromptu') display - the group of distinguished visitors who watched the display were extremely impressed.
Lots of noise, lots of 'g' and it demonstrated the aircraft's performance very well indeed.

For a graphic description of this truly outstanding display sequence, see:
RAF Typhoon Display Team - The Display
Probably the most impressive display by an RAF aircraft in decades.... Our day with the AH64 force was brilliant and exceptionally well organised, but this was definitely the silver balls on the icing on the cake!

i was looking through that before beags, whilst searching about flypasts. it certainly does seem to be a lot more impressive than previous years.
im not sure i followed the sequence completely on the graphics, but the write up was impressive enough
hats off to the driver.

I agree it is a highly polished display. One of the most impressive manoeuvres is the negative g outside turn.
'Upon rolling out from the turn he (Tim) immediately sets 110° angle of bank before pushing the stick all the way forward entering a negative 3.5g outside turn!'
During the 2010 Airshow Season look out for the Synchro Pair - Spitfire and Typhoon.

I was fortunate enough to get wind of the display 15 minutes before it was due so a mad cycle upto the airfield ensued...standing at the north side of 05 I got an excellent view, when he did the Negative g turn it came right over my head, probably a sight and definitely a sound that'll stick with me forever.
Overall the Display was excellent and due to the display line I was very close to the action for once instead of the usual crowd-line distance.
The noise was absolutely incredible, i'll probably never see a Display as good...Fancy coming back next week?
Also BEagle were you part of the Contingent of Puddle Jumpers..?
