Exclamation Fast Jet Test Sqn Disbandment

Fast Jet Test Squadron Disbandment Dinner

Fast Jet Test Sqn (FJTS), based at MOD Boscombe Down, formerly known as Fixed Wing Test Sqn (FWTS) or ‘A Sqn’ will unfortunately be disbanding at the end of March 2010. FJTS will then be combined with the FJ OEUs as a combined Test Team at RAF Coningsby. To that end, we are holding a disbandment Day/Dinner in March and would like to invite all those who have served on FJTS and its forebears.

If you have ever served on, or know of anyone who has served on, FJTS and its forbears, be it a Pilot/Navigator etc, then please PM me so that I can add you to the distribution list for the invitations. If you can add a little précis of when you served, what you flew in, with whom you served etc that will aid me greatly (plus I can find out the old photographs from that time too).

If you have any questions/queries about this event, then do not hesitate to contact me.

Note to moderators; if you can make this a sticky, then I would be most grateful, many thanks.

FOR ALL

MOD Boscombe Down is NOT closing. This is not a thread for discussing if the decision made with regard to FJTS is correct or not. This is for supplying contact details and informing those who have worked on FJTS and its forebears.

The RAF/RN will still have Test Pilots, they will just be co-located on the OEUs as a combined test team.

For note: Handlng Sqn still exists - nothing to do with test flying.

Hello,
You are inviting responses from those who served on FJTS and its forebears. Is this limited to aircrew or are groundcrew included in the invitation ?

"Hunter Trials"
