Worked alongside Baz and the other boys from Brize 1st response at Swindon Ambulance station. You couldn't wish to meet a nicer, more helpfull & cheerful bloke. He obviously loved life, his wife and daughters and his work.
Baz will be greatly missed by everyone at Swindon station, RIP mate. x

Sincere condolences to Sharon and the two teenage daughters of whom Baz often spoke so fondly.
ASMT will never be the same without your presence Baz.
The news has struck us all hard. Who could have ever imagined that tragedy could have struck so close to home.
You will always be in the memories of those that worked closely with you and the capacity of our daily chores will always be a reminder to us of your legacy which was imbedded so firmly upon the section.
RIP Baz. Departed from us but never forgotten by those who knew him well.

Endplay,
I don’t find your post insensitive at all; at least you knew him.
I am sure that his mates did not know whether to laugh or cry either under the circumstances, especially after the incident you recall in Germany.
The rest of you, rest assured that when one of your mates “dies” you maintain a sense of humour and you do it with what could be considered very sick jokes; it’s what keeps you going.

I read that earlier, on The Sun website and burst out laughing.. I knew I shouldn't have, but I did. Baz - with your sense of humour, you would have done the same to us (I hope).
It didn't matter where you died.
Per Ardua.

Words fail me.
OK endplay, we are a fair country. Where did you get your information from?
The Coroner mentions a 'Toilet block'. An inadequate bomb shelter as it turned out.
My italics.
Your post, my fellow PPRuNer, has caused, an awful amount of upset.
Be afraid, be very afraid.

Not wishing to sound like a self-imposed moderator etc - I thought I ought to explain why I feel the previous post should be deleted.
A sense of humour is - I absolutely agree - an essential facet in the current military, I hope when I go all my mates thoroughly take the piss out of me as I have done at the occasions where it has been sensible to the now many friends I have lost in the sand-pit in the last four years.
However posting possibly fairly personal details of a family man's death on a public website is - in my opinion - fairly ill advised. Imagine a child at his daughter's school picking this info up and then using it maliciously at school tomorrow. We can't censor the press, unfortunately - but we can show some respect oursleves!

LC - I'm with you, but it's on the Sun's website, so repeating on here is not really doing huge additional damage, even if it's unnecessary.

No need for it. The fact that it is on the scum website is irrelevant. I, and no doubt a few others, wouldn't mind meeting the 'leak'. The bringing up of this on what I thought was an educated site is shameful.

I have deleted my post as it appears to have caused offence. For the life of me I can't see why but beauty and whatever are in the eye of the beholder so I offer an unreserved apology to anyone I have inadvertently upset.
