It's Royal Marines to you chap!

I've had a look in my book and it's not shown, you would need to find a Bootneck who served post 1979. Shaun has asked the question on Once a Marine so hopefully one of us geriatrics will leave the relative safety of their commode and come up with the goodies, best of luck.
There were two styles of camouflage about that time. One with the Royal Marines printed in white, large CX or CZ on the tail in white and on the nose, helped us find them when cam'd out, very bling. Then it was repainted in Black, very handy for work, but a tad naff when posing, but we never did that.

CZ XX 413 Belfast Sydenham 1977. I've a few more of CX XX411 before and after her rebuild if needed.

On this image you can see the old style P on the tail and the beginnings of the Royal Marines, on the tail boom, behind the vertical stabiliser.

Arbroath, Dec 1978, (45 Commando) 3 aircraft of Montforterbeek Flt about to depart for Saillagouse, Pyrenees. Ex Gadfly mountain flying training prior to January departure for Norway. (Serious pre-Crimbo duty free acquisition)

Nice job. I flew 290,292,293 and 300, but 299 slipped thorugh my grasp.

Military aircraft that are not(any more)
I flew 299 in 1992 at Middle Wallop when it was a trainer there.

I'm sure I flew in this cab while it was on the strength of 666 at Netheravon. It would have been early 1995 (I think).

Then again, the old grey cells aren't what they used to be
