Now you don't think that someone has been reading about it on the internet do you?

I see the RAF Gallery now has all the pictures from the Abingdon show on the web. All 16 of them.

I think it's a total disgrace. This whole thing has caused the RAF more negative publicity than it's had in years. I'm ashamed to be associated with it by way of wearing a (light) blue uniform.

Did'nt anyone proof read the commentary to the photos, since when have the RAF motorsports FLIED high, surely its flew high. Kind of sums up the most embarrassing event for the RAF in my living memory, thank goodness there werent many people there to witness it.

Leave the representation to the Role demo's and air shows - not some namby pamby vision rubbish overseen by someone on a career push.

I suppose alot of us will be feeling 'nah nah na nah nah, told you it would be a steaming heap of ordure' but I just feel sad at the whole sorry thing. I trust someone will still have the neccesary personal standards, if not balls, to fall on his sword. And i hope someone will send tickets to the PR prats so they can go a a real airshow and see how it's done. I mean, it's like saying to the brown jobs 'dispite being the world masters at military displays this civvy company is going to run the next Trooping of the Colour'. Yeh, right. File this one in the draw marked We Must Have Been Certifiable To Have Thought Of This.

Anyone notice that the Reds are the same height as most of the ATC? Is that 'little' Morley on the far right?

In keeping with the whole event, even the pictures are terrible! I can only hope it wasn't an RAF photographer that took them, my nine year old brother could have taken better.

Utterly unprofessional

But will the officer in charge/responsible feel the airbrakes pop out on his career or will he ignore the light buffet?

The brilliant flash as he hits the ground will be explained as the light at the end of the tunnel. Will they ever learn?

Get down to Zummerzet on July 7th and see how to lay on a proper air day, complete with role demo

sorry chap....

Samurai - you are right, I knew when I wrote it that I was putting my head in the literary lions mouth.....but then I only got an aircrew 'A' on ISS and havent picked up the ref book up since (couldnt give amonkeys though). In my defence I am not trying to publicise an event that has affected the the Service reputation.
