'God Told Me To Invade Iraq' - Bush

From the latest MOD Oracle newletter:-

US president George Bush has said that he was instructed by God to invade Iraq and Afghanistan, according to a new BBC series.

The claim comes from the first meeting between the US leader, the Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas (also known as Abu Mazen), and his then foreign minister in June 2003.

The ministers say that Bush also revealed to them that he had been told by God to create a Palestinian state.

Former Palestinian foreign minister Nabil Shaath, now the information minister, describes the meeting with the US leader, in the BBC2 programme, Elusive Peace: Israel and the Arabs. He says: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, 'George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan'.

"And I did, and then God would tell me, 'George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq...' And I did.

"'And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, 'Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East.' And by God I'm gonna do it."

Abbas, who was also at the meeting in the Egyptian resort of Sharm al-Sheikh, recounts how the President told him: "I have a moral and religious obligation. So I will get you a Palestinian state."

Be scared.....be very very scared.

It makes it rather awkward to launch a war on Islamic fundamentalist terrorism when you can't honestly say that you are doing so from a secular and unbiased starting point.

Despite what I see on the TV, all of the Americans I've ever met have been intelligent and kind-hearted people - if sometimes a little naive about other people's cultures. It has always amazed me that George W. Bush could ever be elected, let alone twice. A man of less than than average intelligence and exceedingly poorly travelled when elected, a good example of his religiously skewed politics was the administration's naming of the war on terrorism 'Operation Righteous Crusade' - not exactly guaranteed to ensure the support of many Islamic nations. That name fortunately didn't last long. He seems incapable of understanding that whilst the American way is perfectly fine, not everyone signs up to it.

I find myself embarassed that the leader of the free world is 'hearing voices'. What would he do if God told him that all non-believers must be punished?

The only comfort is that the US constitution fortunately limits Bush to two terms and will effectively allow the voters to be protected from themselves. The next person in the hotseat has a lot of work to do to restore American credibility, especially in the middle East.

I wonder how Tony Bliar feels about this revelation.

Aah yes, the book of Revelations.

'There will be wars and famines and disease epidemics and heavenly signs that will alert the world to some sort of crisis. Then will come an Antichrist as he's called, or a political ruler, that will establish control over the whole earth. He'll be backed up with a religious ruler, who's called the false prophet. They together establish a unified social, economic and religious system that dominates the world.

The only thing opposing them are the people of God and these two prophets, they're called the two witnesses, who appear in Jerusalem, and begin to speak against this power.

The beast, the false prophet, who has the number 666, the Antichrist, is overthrown with judgments and plagues. Most of them are very cosmic. Asteroids hitting the earth. The water turning to blood and that sort of thing, until finally, Jesus Christ returns as a warrior on a white horse and sets up the kingdom of God. ... '

If you add up the name 'George Bush' in Hebrew letters it comes out:

G = 3 (gimel)
e = 5 (heh)
o = 70 (ayin)
r = 200 (resh)
g = 3 (gimel)
e = 5 (heh)
B = 2 (beth)
u = 70 (ayin)
s = 300 (shin)
h = 8 (cheth)

total = 666 (Antichrist)

Why doesn't his Dad, who started it all (same name, same numbers, seems like the anti-christ needs 2 goes!) take him to one side and say the good old parent saying;

"And if God told you to jump off a cliff, would you have done that aswell?"

SS

Jess, if the 'W' was included, you would only say that it was there to make up the numbers!!!

crab, I don't know the answer to that one at this moment, but I can find out for you!

Maude, wasn't it to keep the orphanage running?

Isn't one of the founding principles of the US constitution the separation of Church and State. Someone better tell Dubya that his governance is supposed to be secular.

Elvis told me to write this.

Just had an e-mail from god(yesitreallyisme,yousinner)@heaven.net:

"Hi BEags. Please remind that total ar$e Dubya that I told him if he took my name in vain just one more time, then it'll be downstairs to the mate with the horns, pointy tail and toasting fork when he finally turns his toes up!"

OK, big G. Shall pass it on. You still doing that water into wine thing, mate?

Amazing those willing to believe the word of a Palestinian politician - 2 years after the event. Anyone find it surprising he wouldn't have said anything at the time, considering his opposition to the invasion? or the chance of Bush saying anything like that after the furore over the use of the word crusade and the sensitivity over religion?

Still, any opportunity to have a go at Bush.......
