C17 Ex Perth (ypph)

Walking the dogs on the beach at Cottesloe on Thursday and looked skywards at the jet noise and......wonderful....a C17 heading north (Singapore and Kabul?) probably with an Australian SAS load.

A small tangible link with home and the ex-job.

Aaaahhh Cottesloe, and more importantly the Cottesloe Beach Hotel. It brings back happy memories (the old rose-tinted testicles).

I stayed there for a while during the RWC and thoroughly enjoyed my Sabbath Sessions entertaining young beach toned honeys.

I hear they knocked it down, more fool them!

Don't believe the rumours! Cottesloe Beach Hotel and the Ocean Beach Hotel are still standing. The owners wanted to put up multi-storey developments, were stopped by the local council, then threatened to throw their toys out of the cot by saying they would demolish instead. State government then stepped in and said no. So, for the moment, the status quo remains.
