Career progression when joining A320
From what I can really get here (and what people who worked in one of the big 3 keep repeating) I have an impression that EY is a company where you will make decent money, live in modern but calm and very family friendly city and in a relaxed manner go to work. Sounds like paradise ! However I am actually curious what is the career path when you join now on A320. There is a considered aircraft order and big needs for the pilots- but what everybody is afraid of is to be stuck on narrow body for the rest of the life. Any thought or real life examples?

I know one FO that has just transitioned to the A380 after he joined on the A320 less than 2 years ago.

Why don't you apply and ask at the interview? If you don't get an interview then it doesn't matter what the bond is.
ohĥ...nice ...great idea...very helpful.... Thanks... |
Its funny how some people register to a Rumors website and try to sound like they are politically correct by avoiding rumors. Just dont write anything if you are not helping.

I dont know exact figures but its best you apply and ask as they do change apparently. But there is a bond and you’re even bonded again if you change fleet…so it is good to keep it in mind. Sorry can’t be much more help

So because I said something you didn't want to hear you reply with sarcasm? You have made 20 posts in 22 days of being on prune. Why don't you try reading some threads first instead of making posts every day? |

Does Etihad have employee profit share? If yes, how many weeks did they pay last year?
Thank you for any info! |
Etihad application
Hi. Got a question for you all. I applied about 10 days ago. Meet all the requirements. Application came back as rejected pretty much the next day. Can’t find an email or number to get in touch with them. [email protected] and .ae don’t answer. Already tried those. Has this happened to anyone? Any thoughts?

I got my assessment in the beginning of may and i joined Etihad in august , so after assessment, you just wait 3-4 months to join which is acceptable
About the salary and the package , yes EK is better but the costs of living in dubai is way more higher , EY is giving 160k housing allowance per year You can find 1 or 2 bedrooms apartments in good locations such as al raha beach or reem island with price of 80-90-100k If you want bigger apartments or villa , then you should go 150-170-200k Abu Dhabi is a lot more comfortable and not chaotic like Dubai , especially for family As a widebody FO , i fly almost 70 hours a month with roughly 10-12 sectors , all layovers at least 24 hours I make 30-31k , plus housing allowance 13k , it can be saved from housing allowance, depends on the apartment you wish to live Training is busy but not difficult if you do what you need to do , they want you to finish as quick as possible , so be ready for 5 days a row sim sessions People here have complaints ofcourse, but i am sure in EK is same , pilots do complain So overall i am in Etihad for like 6 months and i feel good , no regret at all If anybody has more specific questions , i may try to help And No i did not fail EK assessments!!! how did you prepare for the etihad assessment and could you please give an account of the entire etihad assessment in detail thank you |
