Jordan Aviation
Anyone has any infos regarding this airline and how is to work for them?
|
Have a few friends there working. They are constantly taking pilots on. You have to self fund your type and line training which costs something like 40 to 50 thousand USD.
Overall if you need the experience or your foot in the door to the aviation jobs, this company will get you there. They have 2 A310 at the moment, which fly to all ends of the Earth (and to some really strange places) all year round. Good Luck |
It looks like they are looking for some B737-300 current captains. Is it a good move or just some crappy job? What do they have to offer? How much is the pay?
|
jordan aviation
Does one know Jordanaviation Airlines Capt and F.O. salaries in Jordan on their Airbuses and Boeings. {not Royal Jordanian airlines}
thnx |
Basic salary 7000usd, based on 50 hrs per month based on 3 months roster,
so if you fly more than 150hrs in 3 months you get 75usd per hr normaly paid on the 5th month. You must pay transportation, company club membership, coffe and tea, your own accomodation in Jordan, every training course or sim the company offers (CRM initial or recurent...etc), and you must understantd that these payments are not optional. As for flying, you are expected to be on standby all the time, and to fly to almost every destination you do not want to be, like Bagdad, Erbil, Kabol.. Enjoy |
Thats like paying for your own transport to the firing squad...

jordan aviation
hello,
Jordan aviation is not the best airline to work for, unless ur just starting your aviation career, and have no options. Amman,Jordan is a very expensive city to live in.....i mean extreemly expensive. Heard them about six months ago going into monrovia, liberia. Mainly United Nation Charters. Word for the grape vine, says they been banned from flying into Europe, however i cannot confirm that. All the best, I advise you look elsewhere. regards, skygod |
From the posts above, gee golly, this place sounds like a great company to fly for.
You get to pay for everything! Where do I sign up :ugh: |
jordsan aviation
Evidently they pay your initaial or recurrent, and then one is required to reimburse them per month at a percentage of the cost of the training, plus an additional 15% of that training cost.
|
jolrdan aviation
A spin off company of jordan aviation www.aspdjordan.com does all the financing. Whether initial or recurrent they finance the cost plus 15% surcharge and then reduce monthly off ones's payback. If one is inexperienced probably a way to get time. Experienced people probably better off staying away as they are cheap, and the place is run as a one man show who is the president.. They have just started a new airline named Alexandria Airlines in Egypt with a couple of 737's i recall.
|
yes dear this capt wathik,am still there regards
|
Warning Jordan Aviation
ITS A VERY bad airline to work for. Maintenace is very bad on both the b737-300, and Airbus. Please beware of fake promises jordan aviation. A word is enough for the wise!!!!.

MCP PANEL B737/jordan aviation
Hey bro,
Dont let me expose your B-737 flying around with no LVL CHG button on the MCP Panel. Or all the money laundering happeneing with Alexandria Airlines in EGYPT. Alexandria Airlines is the next FLASH Airlines......REMEMBER THAT. STOP !!!!it right there or i'll go public. Its a pitty that murders like you, fly families around the world for an extra 100 usd from khashman.100usd to fly airplanes with major snags. Poverty, and proffesionalisim dont go together by the way, so find another career. SKYGOD |
mick06 before you come on here trying to insult captains who have gained their licences from proper flying institutions you should try buying the oxford dictionary to help you with your english.
also some people can dream about the left seat because thats as close as you will ever get to it. for your information the congo licence holder as you mentioned is orginally an oxford UK CPL/IR and ATPL graduate which you can only dream to have in amman!!!!! |
Uk liceince
I totaly Agree with you 7500 , I flew in Jordan Aviation with one capt he holds Uk ATPL , and Validation Jordanian . Jordan aviation not the best but there are some good pilots over there taking care of it , ...........
|
I can confirm that nobody has flown any aircraft on any fleet with a dead engine in jordan aviation.
Whoever is feeding you such information mick06 is taking you for a ride most probably because you are a fool!!!!:8 We have some excellent captains in Jordan Aviation and its a pleasure working with them. We have some demanding operations so its good to know that Im flying with good guys. I can assure you that these guys are very experienced and have great knowledge. To learn from feels very rewarding and for that I thank them (Knowledge is power something mick06 will never have:confused:) Im not going to deny that things are perfect here because they are not just like everywhere else in the world but if you dont like it you can  leave. We are not a cathay pacific or emirates and will never be them but we certainly know our jobs!!!! one last thing mick06, fack is spelt as the following: FAKE ;) |
7500/
.... some pilots are working her with us used to be in Jordan aviation they told us unbelievable stories about flying in Jordan aviation and how they used to be forced to fly in africa with snags and exceeding duty time limitations
belive me those are not taking us in a ride we are not fool as you metioned ,if we are we will not be flying A340 , we as captains should defend those poor guyes whome the company taking them as fools , acually some of them now trying to forgive themselvs of the mistakes and they did in Jjordan aviation and belive me the are lucky that they are alive ,,,,,,,,,, fly safe , thanks |
So how much do FO's have to pay Jordan Aviation now to work for them.
|
Jordan aviation is great for new CPL pilots, as they will be able to fly
big jets and accumulate jet hours needed, and I personally know so many young pilots that got jobs with major airlines in the region thanks to initial Jordan Aviation hours. It must be great to have an Oxford CPL/IR, but the B737/300 rating was acquired from the Congo, and as far as I know and I might be wrong, Congo do not have any B737/300 training centers!!! As for duty time limitations, I think the crew should be responsible and never accept to break any rules, that goes too for technical problems and any exceeding of weight limitations, after all it is their lives and licences that are being jeopardized. |
Can someone help with their recruitment contact?
Many thanks. |
APSD Interview
I was in Amman few days ago and i had long wanted to check out this company; APSD is conducting Type rating + Line training for fresh pilots
They currently operate 2 A310 and not sure how many 733s in Alexandria are available but Mr. Maher of APSD advised the A310 is easier because the sim and aircrafts are in Amman The TR + 250 hours on type costs you 100K USD, you pay 50% (can be divided into installments over the period of training) and the remainder will be deducted off your salary, you will have to sign bond of 5 years and if you leave any earlier; you must pay the balance of what you owe License conversion is your responsibility and that could take up to 3 months along with security clearance, type rating on the A310 is available monthly and is conducted at Amman, this can also take up to 3 months\ Then its 3 - 4 months to complete the 250 hours line training During this 9 - 10 months you will get NO PAY, NOTHING! Then Jordan aviation will take you in as Junior FO; your pay will be 1000USD only and it will remain so until you accumulate 500 hours on type; then your pay goes up to 3750USD gross (deduct tax 250USD, Company bond 1250USD) so you end up with a couple of thousand dollars; that's all The APSD GM explained further and further; eventually i worked it out to be working 5 years for free; ie: you save nothing but hours on A310; but all what you earn is going to equal what you spend on training and living (226000USD gross earning = 226000US expenses) To me; and this is strictly my personal opinion; i am fed up with paying and paying and paying endlessly; i am flying a nice EFIS turbo-prop at the moment and 3400+ hours in my logbook; not so much flying; but the pay is going in anyways so i considered the Jordan Aviation deal some sort of a rip off; maybe its ok for new pilots but not for me Thanks |
Syrian,
How did they justify the $100,000 price tag? A type rating on A310/737 is probably in the $12,000 range, give or take. So that's about $88,000 profit the company makes off you, the employee. Even by aviation standards this is a new low. |
Sky-lord
,lets put things right away here .:ok: I think pilots cant refuse any flight in JAV even its exceeding or snags are there , because at the end of the month their salary will not go to the bank and they will keep begging .the bold . we have seen so many examples of all the people whome they left Jav did they get there money just think of yourself and your family does it worth it . even 7500 , or your big example capt wathik ask him how much he suffers with all the money and bad treatment he had recently . look now at the situation form wide view now we had engine failure on B737JAB on take off roll next what will happen , hope not |
Ok its Great to have Uk CPL/IR or Uk ATPL ,:ok: 7500
but can you explain to me if your Rating B737-300 Congo . where did you do your type rating ?as far as I know congo doesnot have B737 simulators , how was it endorsed . And how you make your currency every six months on simulators , as per Jordan Civil aviation your licence if its Validated as jordaninan you must have somebody from congo Civil aviation to renew it every six months correct me if I am wrong and observe you on Simulator , a lot of pilots worked in Jordan aviation From Romania Yamen Grees , they used to do thier Sim and have there licences renewed and come back to Amman and get there validation right :bored: So better for you my freind to get your jordanian ATPL ASAP thats if your licence from congo of course .......... |
well sky-lord
let me go now in public , Remember arbil flights ask your examples who much money they got for all the exceedance they did with duty time limitations and climb limit weight , :uhoh: you were there i think , how much kawa gave you to excced time limitatins , stop there my friend or I will go on , the worse thing is JAV operations kept there mouth shutt because they were making money . take care if you have alternate you will not saty in JAV |
B737 Atpl
Can anybody give me the address of the Congo flight school that
give B737/300 ratings? I know you need the flight hours, but not at the expense of safety, it is not worth it. I do not really think Jordan Aviation would do all what you accuse them with, as far as I know Jordan Aviation is an IOSA airline. |
tarik123
Acually i am not acusing any body , its a fact , yes we had IOSA that was done with a great captains ex RJ and now they left all , they all worked very hard those dayes , but i bet you know they will not get it because all our operations run with non airline pilots with ex airforce they know nothing about airline. what concern us now , is the , duty time , maintanance above all those whome hold a none jordanian licences with validation , thier original one is not valid any more how come they renew thier simulator , so big question my friend ???????????? you better call 7500 he will give you the congo flying school for B737 , even they can endorse A330 with 100 $ , fee :uhoh: |
are you sure about these informations
|
They do there TR with JATS which is Jordan CAA approved and ICAO.
Bahrain air the new airline in bahrain is using JATS training center so i dont think its bad. jordan aviation and is sister company APSD jordan have started this first officer program on A310 or B737-300. I think it’s not worth for experience pilots with lots of turbo prop or jet hours. But I think if you have a CPL/IR multi engine rating ATPL GS, and you dint get a job with an airline or any flying company and have been without a job for few years after completion of training then yes I will go for this job (working for free) Its not a bad deal for pilots with low hours with no jobs. |

There is a worldwide pilot shortage so the rumor goes.. The days of pilots being exploited by the unscrupulous should be over. What if the company goes bankrupt? Boom, you've just lost your money. |
man, these posts alone would discourage you from working with this airline. Sounds like petty arguments and minor issues are daily occurances!

Jordan Aviation
hi guys, newbie here. Does anyone knows jordan aviation? how's that company? i'm just getting information that they are opening for several position.
|
re
You mean Jordan Violation??
sorry I had too.. :) |
Hi every one,
I’m new here. I just got accepted to enter the APSD program to earn a type rating on B737-300. Then they guaranty hire with Jordan Aviation. This all sounds good. The only thing is that I have to come up with $25,000 and sign a 5yr contract and a $100,000 bond contract.... Has any one been through this program? Is it any good for a low time pilot??? |

Considering the above quote, I am reminded of the rather well known statement by PT Barnum... "There is a sucker born every minute." |
re
I would have to second 411A'a opinion here... The carrier is considered a joke around these parts.. and paying for typerating AND a 5 year BOND of $100 000.. Have some self respect!! Sure alot of LCC demand selfsponsored typeratings but only bonds u for 2 years. If you want to work in the middle east both QR and Gulfair seem to accept fresh from the academy without experience nor do they seem to need gulf nationality.. both options are way better even if u only get to fly as second officer..
|
I just got that offer from them too and after reading all post here, they are pretty stink!! Who would spend $100,000 for 737-300?? If you go to Eagle Jet International or Sim Centre in US, you can do type rating for $8500 for 737-400 or $12000 for A320..the cheapest is 737-200 for $5500..Then you can buy 500 hours for $15000 and they'll send you to new airlines in India...with type rating and 500 hrs on type, it is 90% gurantee you can get a job in good airlines and you start off with good $$$. Who would wanna work free for 5 years $100000 worth if can spend about $25000 and get a good paid job. My mate here in Australia did Sim Centre A320 type rating and time building program in US, after type rating while waiting for Indian licence validation to go to India for 500 hrs, he got hire in Tiger Airways, Australia base. I would consider something like this.

I was born in middle east, made the move to AUS 11 years ago, my honest opinion about Jordan is that.. In Jordan its very easy to spent 1000 but hard to get $1 from them even if you have worked for it, DONT U EVER THINK OF living there, no customer service, taxi will rip you off no question and the list goes on and on. Not a good place to live for sure. Not to mention that if you walk with your wife in the poor part of Amman 100 men will look at her and want to eat her even if she is the ugliest woman ever..

There are tones of worse places to live in... Taxis will rip you off in most countries in the world if you're not a native.. probably less so in amman then in the rest of the ME... |
