The muppet TC wants „ to go out with a splash“
Hahaha, yes that for sure will happen but not the way he thinks! |
EK made a little money things are GREAT again :ugh:

Amid the Shakespearean corruption tales coming out of Airbus, and John Leahy finally retiring by Feb next year.

Reuters saying 36-38 A380’s possible order tomorrow.

Most probably Sir TC accepted his bribe to save struggling airbus and he’s preparing his golden retirement... He’ll be watching ek struggling with a huge overcapacity with his pop corn..

Potential 787-10 order and A380 buy back as part of new 380 deal.....
|
Just confirmed at Dubai Airshow 40 787-10
|
Any Boeing news will be of zero surprise, but another 380 will be quite the opposite.

Emirates have just announced an order for Boeing 40 787-9 aircraft at the Dubai Airshow. The 787-10 will enable Emirates to open up routes with smaller demands and give the airline much needed flexibility The 787 deal, including airplanes and related equipment, is valued at $15.1 billion at current list prices. Emirates' orders today will be delivered from 2022, Emirates is also rumoured to order 30-40 A380 but are nervous about the resale market. A possible order will be conditional upon Airbus buying back or finding new homes for some of the older A380s currently operated by Dubai’s Emirates. |
As much as I doubt an A380 order, I am still curious what will come out of Airbus's workshop.
The 787 surprises me and it doesn't. |

Nice change to order an airplane with which an airline can make money. Now to start counting backwards from 100 and we will be in business.

The level of hatred displayed by some against the A380 - and other AB products - is incredible.
For sure they come from countries (Ireland, NZ, Oz, NL, Belgium) with a fantastic aircraft industry ... What could be the reason ? Too manies Hollywood movies since childhood ? Secretly dreaming of US citizenship by adoring American aircraft? Trying to figure they are airlines managers and economists, when they are just airline pilots without much knowledge of anything past an OM-A and a FCOM ? Dreaming to " fly the 787 " when it will be just another cockpit in which you rotate bugs and confirm FMC pages, without banking more than 30°, to sleep in front of motionless panels for hours over the Indian Ocean ? |
I don't understand why would EK want to trade-in some old A380's for new ones, they are the same aircraft, and the old ones still have a few more years of life left.
And Kobus, I don't hate Airbus aircraft, I just don't like them as much as Boeing. But I always thought the A380 program was a big blunder by Airbus. |
What do we all think of Jeremy Clarkson? Interesting choice...
|
"Interesting" indeed. He is a douche bag, and I know many who think the same. He also singlehandedly ruined a great TV show. Is he trying to bring ruin to an airline now?
|
I don't understand why would EK want to trade-in some old A380's for new ones Changing some fuel guzzlers with newer models that guzzle slightly less, and having that sweetened by an almost suicidal offer from the manufacturer (thank you European taxpayer), would represent a keen move, at least for a mid-term fleet strategy. Macron's short visit must have helped, so let's wait for the last day of the (desp)air show for such an announcement. |
The range. The new one are lighter an burn 1000kg per hour less than the original ones.
