that makes me feel like I've found what I'm looking for in life ... respect, dignity, folks who are polite to one another.
Yes, you have astutely identified the ideal place in the world to find these qualities. You will particularly like the respectful, polite, dignified folks on SZR.

Enjoy! :)

(You rhymes-with-banker.)

NoLimit,

He needs help....lets face it he will be the next in the 4000 or so pilots who say..."I just didn't think it would be so fu@ked up here"!

You cant argue with people like this....let them come...we'll have a good laugh when they wake up to reality!

The Outlaw 21st Oct 2016 02:13

Pretty funny though...respectful...dignity....polite...all in the same sentence even. Must be some good stuff he's got!

The Outlaw 21st Oct 2016 02:16

OurKing,

If you're coming anyway....

Buy as many houses as you can in "the land of happiness".

Also....send me your banking details as requested earlier...I'm trying to help you get those funds out of Nigeria!

It has to be a wind up :) ......

Thank you for the PM's I've received giving me the information that I seek. Fortunately, I'm aware that a few folks here tend to air the same grievances over and over. There are always a few bad apples in every bunch, and I know to dismiss the information when it's clear that the one sharing it just likes to complain.

Pride is important to me. Managing my principals aircraft, I take a lot of pride in what I do. I always do the best that I can, and treat the aircraft like it is my own. Likewise, I'd do the same with an emirates aircraft. When I was at DXB over the summer, hearing the proud ones refer to their flight as "Emirati 123 super" or the like made me feel a connection; a connection of being proud of our jobs, and proud of the country. There are few airlines like EK that are left, and I hope that I'm selected to continue forward with the selection progress. I will not let you down.

Now this is scary......

It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

😂 you just dont make this sh!t up 😂

Ourking is old swahili for:
'He who feels connected'

Must be a windup indeed.

"Emirati 123 super"
That's not a recognised ICAO callsign is it? So don't be too proud my old...

Only the Emiratis call it Emirati. So I guess OurKing has given away his nationality 🇦🇪

Of course it isn't. But there's nothing like national pride, and a slight change of call sign to say you're PROUD of what you do and who you fly for is no harm at all.

Who is this guy?

Hello, my name is Rich. I have my resume in with Emirates, and hope to get the golden call soon!!

natops 22nd Oct 2016 04:59

😂 You cant be real King, put down yr personal Costa coffee mug, and go to work mate...

nolimitholdem 22nd Oct 2016 05:12

I'm really hoping it's a windup, because the creepy way he writes suggests the alternative is that he's the sort that hopes to wear an Emirates pilot's skin as a suit.

Tip for Rich/OurKing: Remember, it's only identity theft if you use their debit card. Be smart about it.

I've watched the recruitment videos for Emirates, and it seems like the possibilities at the airline are limitless. Do most who retire from Emirates stay in UAE, or move back to where they're from? Is there a visa issue with staying after retirement?

Comedy gold :D

glofish 23rd Oct 2016 00:46

No, not comedy gold.

It's tragic.
