Guys being demoted without a reason, no inflation correction since forever, bidding system not existing anymore, never have vacation at the same time as the rest of the family, etc etc.
This is the first that I've definitively heard the information above. I have been reading the threads here before registering, but because this forum is written with such cryptic wording, it's difficult for an outsider to truly know what is being said. For example, I assumed that the GCAA passed a reg that made it unlawful for an under-35 year old to fly as PIC. Bidding system being non-existent, I did not know. I assumed that people not getting what they bid was a case of too many flights with not enough pilots wanting to fly to each destination, so being assigned other than what they bid. Never a vacation at the same time as the family is a shock to me, especially because Emirates seems to control the schooling of the kids.

I will continue to monitor this thread and read more posts. But perhaps in the meantime, folks who are currently living in Dubai and flying for Emirates can speak openly in here, rather than cryptically.

OP has to be a Costa dweller...

The new Aniston ad is like a recruitment ad! 😂😂 Btw, can't wait for all the ankle-biters to try sneaking into First class now...particularly on those US flights where no-one's supposed to go between cabins.

I've had that once and I'm pretty sure it was an US flight. The mother was looking for the teenage daughter like crazy and no one could find her. I asked if they had checked first class and the SFS arrogantly replied "of course!". Turned out she WAS in first class for one hour or more eating all the snacks. She sneaked in from forward stairs. I'm sure the FG1s were very busy doing their nails to not notice the extra passenger.

Be a MAN for once ... come out of the gully-hole and put a face behind your nice posts ...do not hide yourself in social medias...

Speak openly and get fired.

sluggums 6th Oct 2016 14:15

Quite frankly OurKing, join, or don't join. Nobody cares. To ask what this gig is all about shows how little initiative you've shown doing prior research. Or am I being cryptic...?

This is what bothers me, astroturfing is illegal in most countries but most companies do have people with paid relationships doing the same pretending to be normal social media users.

nolimitholdem 7th Oct 2016 22:15

Just in case some aren't familiar with the term: (source Wikipedia)

Astroturfing is the practice of masking the sponsors of a message or organization (e.g., political, advertising, religious or public relations) to make it appear as though it originates from and is supported by a grassroots participant(s).

It is a practice intended to give the statements or organizations credibility by withholding information about the source's financial connection.

The term astroturfing is derived from AstroTurf, a brand of synthetic carpeting designed to resemble natural grass, as a play on the word "grassroots." The implication behind the use of the term is that there are no "true" or "natural" grassroots, but rather "fake" or "artificial" support, although some astroturfing operatives defend the practice (see Justification below).
OurKing, more like OurLatestTroll in a long line of 'em. Come on. No one is fooled.

Outlaw - that was brilliant!

CRYTIC WORDING OFF

Our King,

I just spoke to my boss. He said that I should grab any chance I got to fly a 601. He was puzzled why anyone would want to leave a 601 job to fly a 380 in this region but hey, night flying and 100 hours per month will get you all that time you need for the ATPL.

Any word from your boss about switching yet?

You know that with a 380 endorsement you can just kick down the door to any flying outfit and tell them them how to run their business...they actually welcome criticism from a 380 guy...its just that extra insight that makes us in demand in this market (but keep that a secret or the 777 guys will want this higher learning as well). Your boss would know this and I'm a little perturbed that he hasn't rolled out the red carpet yet...I'll be sure to debrief him when I get there.

PS... I'm still waiting on your passport, I'm disappointed that I haven't received it yet. Anyhow, do to a recent policy change, I will also require your bank account details, pin number, visa number and CVC code, key to your house and car... small price to pay for glamour and all that great EMIRA....wait the phone is ringing..."hello?.....yes...sure!....I will....yes...B'bye" That was Jennifer...she was asking when you were coming?

gmezzi 16th Oct 2016 05:43

Hi dear,
can I have your staff number?

Jack330 20th Oct 2016 15:22

Once a serious company, most of the guys that passed the last DEC screenings completely, had been offered a FO position.... Hilarious !! This could've worked 10 years ago and not for sure at 50 yo... Hahahaha

notapilot15 20th Oct 2016 16:19

Outlaw great video. Came across this one courtesy to YouTube auto play.

The resemblance between Bedrock city and Dubai is shocking, there is even talk about four engine planes.

Plane and simple 20th Oct 2016 19:04

Come here. We have a happiness park courtesy of our ministry of happiness....

See. Everybody is happy🎈🎈🎈🎈

The Outlaw 21st Oct 2016 00:06

notapilot,

That is pretty funny and yes, there are a lot of similarities between Bedrock and "the city of happiness" such as cave men, neanderthal practices, houses made of rock and stone age mentality! All men Bedrock wear the same goatskin suit...sound familiar?

I particularly liked the references to the local women and men of Bedrock doing housework and chores....PFFFFTTT!!! I suppose Kumar and Mandeep hadn't made it to Bedrock at that time.

One think is for sure... Al Redrock is going to get his ass handed to him by Christoph Monzonite...sooner the better!

OurKing 21st Oct 2016 01:04

I have submitted my application. How long does it typically take to be reviewed and subsequently begin the process to interview?

I was at SEATAC this week and saw an Emirates 777 parked. It brought back my time in the UAE over the summer. There is something almost sentimental about talking to UAE Control approaching DXB, and equally so, hearing the friendly "inshallah" from the other aircraft and controllers that makes me feel like I've found what I'm looking for in life ... respect, dignity, folks who are polite to one another.

The Outlaw 21st Oct 2016 01:44

No Prob OurKing ol' boy....I will advise the company head shrinks to look out for you. I'm sure they wont have to go too far.

Have you considered a saliva test for your own self interest? Or is this more a a "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" sort of thing?

Anyway...I'll be making sure you are never left alone in the flight deck...

The Outlaw 21st Oct 2016 01:54

Hey...King'y ol' bean,

I've noticed a blatant disregard for my real offer of changing seats/type/company...did you think I was joking guv'na?

Why go through all that assessment crap when I can walk you into the CPAB office and tell him that you're going to be the new Grand Exalted Executive Poo Bah on the mighty 380 (better than a 777, faster than a rolling "O", able to leap a capital "T" in a single bound...its a bird, its a plane, its Superking"!!

I'm one bad ass connected MF MF....MF....
