Emirates Hold pool update?
Hi all!
I just wanted to know if anyone here has been called for an interview after being in the hold pool with Emirates for a while? Would be grateful if someone can share a little about what sort of timeline to expect with the EK hold pool
Good day!

I am an FO with Asian nationality. I’ve got 3000 hours on A320 and my application has been in the holding pool since 2 years.

I thinks for Boeing guys it is generally faster not really sure but I had about 5000 h from which 3000 on 737 when I applied. I know people that were in the pool for about 3-4 days as well . But two years sounds a lot maybe reapply

I have been emailing them regularly with my updated hours experience. Maybe it’s a nationality thing, I don’t know. I am quite dejected at this point. Did you apply under accelerated command or FO?

I have applied as FO . I think it’s more of a fleet issues they have Mainly Boeing and also have lots of applicant with a Boeing type rating therefore from a business point of view I will understand they’ll rather take guys rated on Boeing A/C , but now that the A350 are coming maybe you might have more chance. Guys rated on Airbus use to mainly go on A380 and I doubt they are short of crew as of now.

I'm in the same boat as you, I'd applied a year back with about 3000 hours, still in the hold pool.

Thanks for your reply, what’s your aircraft type and nationality? There must be some logic to why we are in the holding pool and others are being invited to interview without waiting.

The holding pool is for when you have passed assessment and you are just waiting for a date to start training. There is no holding pool for getting an interview.

On the 24th of Feb this year you said you hadn't heard back from EK for a year. So what changed and please cut and paste the language used in EK correspondence regarding the holding pool for assessment.

Hi! I'm on the 320 and Indian. I heard they've started calling people off the hold pool though, do you have any update?
