Assuming you apply for accelerated command, are successful and complete the two recurrent sims in the right seat after just over 12 months what’s the upgrade process? Is it interviews and sim assessment like LCC’s or your just eligible to join the course and have to pass it like legacy’s?

i understand that but I haven’t been able to find what the selection process is, hence why I ask. I know what the process is at BA, wait your turn then pass the course, easyjet go through interviews and an assessment sim to get on the course then pass the course. Etc for other airlines. Emirates i don’t know and am simply asking to make an informed decision on the likely hood on the accelerated command. I know there’s back logs for command courses in airlines for years which outsiders are unaware of due to training capacity.

Join on double the pay of all the other FOs who have been here longer, 700 hours , 2 sims and a year or
two and you can start the course.
My advice for anybody would be not give up a command or close command to join EK as an FO.
When you say “but you promised”, nobody will care and everybody will just laugh at you for believing it.

Before you get slotted for the process the company will build a picture pf your aptitudes through your sim reports, your line flights with instructors ect… if your reports are not up to the standard the start of your selection process will
be delayed.

As far as i know the selection process consists of a technical quiz, psychometric eval and a psychologist debrief, followed by the interview.

Good Day Everyone,
I'm curious if anyone knows if the the Accelerated Command path is available again for the 777?
I'm only 250 hours short of the 2000 PIC on Boeing requirement, so I'm wondering if its worth waiting to apply in Accelerated Command path or not. My mind is pretty much made up that I would like to go to EK in the next 1-2 years.
Thanks

Only 4/18 of us in the MON/TUE and TUE/WED groups were trying for accelerated command. The four of us were all 40+ years old with 5k-6k hours as PIC on the 320 family, +12k TT. The main reason I didn’t take it is seeing the under 25 year-old DEFO I was interviewing with and the under 30 years old Captains under whom I’d be flying. It’s a young man’s game.
I’m too old to go back to the end of the line in case accelerated command doesn’t work out.

Financially 10 -15 years here even with 6-7 of those being a FO puts my family in a much better financial position for retirement, so I'm happy to take a small step back and learn all about the long haul work.,

I heard Boeing guys in the pool are being called into Airbus spots because of the 777 delays. You may have to wait a bit for an interview anyway. Apply now.
