EK and a medical OML

I was hoping to apply to EK but recently had an OML placed on my medical (no single pilot ops)

The application states the only variable acceptable is Vision Corrected Lenses… but as I’m unlikely to be doing single pilot ops at EK I wondered if it was worth going through the recruitment assault course?

What happens to pilots who have OMLs placed on medicals when already employed? Because my current employer is happy with it.

Appreciate any wisdom

I had a similar restriction on my licence and it didn't stop me from being employed by EK.

"Applying" and "already employed" are different scenarios. At the Application stage, most companies will insist on an unrestricted Class one. Clarify, very clearly, your medical status ensuring that the OML is acceptable at the application stage.

Once employed, most companies will accept degradation (going bald, bursting out of your size 28 inch waist uniform trousers etc) and OML's unless really restrictive. from the Crew rostering perspective.

Continuing with a company accepting an OML is another thing when compared to leaving an applying to someone else. The new Company is unlikely to accept your existing OML.
