Hi Jacky_tg26, I applied on 2nd December. I am an A320 F/O and applied for the same position. I would not worry too much about it. I think they will contact you if you have the requirements. Good luck!
Break...break, does anyone know how the selection process works in Etihad. What are the assessments and are all the assessments conducted in Abu Dhabi?

Hi all, is there anyone from South Africa working for Etihad on the 777 cargo gig? I'd be interested to hear from anyone with experience in this type of job as to how taxing the commuting becomes over time. I have done contract flying but the rotations were 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off and some were 6 weeks on, 4 weeks off. The time away seemed long and the time at home went by so quickly but the travelling wasn't as frequent.

Tough decision to forego the seniority for P1 in a local airline to join the Yanks for a great salary on the right seat.

Hey mates!

I've received an Email with the dates for assessment in Abu D.

There are little information on the career's page of the company, so I thought they would send more info in this email, but they did't.

So, anyone has further info about the contract?

Seems like there's no health insurance for dependents (how come?)

They didn't mentioned anywhere about the commuting, the only info where provided by collegues here...

Hard to pick a date and show there in blind...

Cheers.

Does anyone have an actual email address to pilot recruitment at Etihad? The one they replied to me on is a computer generated one where you cannot reply.

Thanks!

Hey guys, I applied for the "FO" 777 Cargo position in early December, and they replied yesterday.

They offered dates in Feb/Mar/Apr.

Cheers.

and be aware that they can schedule a flight very early morning after you days off so in order to have min rest you will need to come back maybe one day earlier and pay your hotel or come back last day and sleep 3 hours (if you are lucky) before your operating flight.
also on the last day of your rotation you might arrive late and miss your flight home, so you will have to spend your first of 10 days off in Abu Dhabi, paying your hotel as it won't be paid baby company from your first day off

I got selected recently. An FO makes about 11500 USD per month (85 hours + housing). This does not include layover allowances. QR gives you 400 dollars more. So, not much of a difference. Besides, the culture in EY is very relaxed and they are very nice to you. You can request fleet change and things like that.

And also in EY the basic is about 1500 dollars higher than QR.

no wonder why people keep leaving EVA, 77 and 78 FOs, get 5700USD a month after tax 70h average, almost never overtime, you can add 120hx 3.3usd perdiem.
if you consider tax return + a 13th month salary bonus, top monthly FO is about 6700USD.

I know Etihad FO receive about 11-12k monthly if you want cash ,but you have option to deal ,company will give you rented vila/house and 7k in account ... Some of them calculated if they start to work for EU ,will be more cash saved cause of expenses in uae... Many of them converted license to EASA. I think there exist EASA exam centre in Dubai...
