STC No 787/350 order
So, is this classic market bargaining 101?
Negotiate a deal that's close, then walk away knowing a better offer will come your way?

Engine deal on the remaining 380s, Air bus can see the end of the 380 they don't Care about engines. RR was bailed out by STC. RR not going to agree to terminating their contract . I think it's about 150+ engines

The return of favour for the silly "Sir" proves to be quite costly.
But who cares, it's finally HH who will have to come up with the doe for still being tolerated at Ascot.
But i guess they will both eventually shove it down on the EK employees ......

How about EK get a penalty clause payout from AB .. not fulfilling the order for A380,s ( sigh of relief from Ek accountants ) then RR receive some or all of these funds as a penalty payment from EK for not taking delivery of engines , lost projected sales , development costs etc . Just haggling over the amount remains , advanced rug selling basically . Feasible or not ?
Air bus already said they ok with that .
Keep in mind another thing, if Airbus shutters the A380 line, it'll be a several billion dollar hit to the European governments who provided 'launch aid' - and be a big re-enforcement to the USA/Boeing claim that launch aid is an unfair subsidy and distorts the marketplace.
(don't shoot the messenger here, just stating what I see from my knothole).
Not sure what you've been seeing .? Numerous articles from analysts indicate the definite slow down and possible closing of the line . The production is causing AB to haemmorahge cash , not sure what the US has to do with it ? Other than giving armies of litigators something to do .

What stops EK just swapping the agreement to RR engines on the 787 or 350?
