ME carriers and leave without pay

Curious as to whether or not the ME carriers accept applications from individuals who would be on leave-without-pay or furloughed from their current airline

I know of a captain at an unmentionable airline in the ME who is going back to his home airline after a few years in the pit. I also know a few people at Qatar from UK who are on unpaid leave with their positions at home airline open for them after, I think, a three year secondment.

It has happened by agreement between EK and other airlines (notably SAS and QANTAS), but as a general rule, you have always had to show you have resigned before you would be employed.

With the current crisis, though, they might bend the rules!!

Exactly, no crisis. Peoples flying 100+, no leaves and minimum days OFF. Come on, life is great....why complaining.

Thanks for the info guys.

Do all of the ME carriers have this policy?

I figure that if they are getting short they might be open to taking people on (even if for 3-5 years).
