Travelling with a drone (quadcopter) ex DXB
Has anyone attempted this and been told that they need a letter from the police to take their drone out of DXB? I'm sure this is not going to be a simple process so if anyone has already managed it and can pass on details it'd be appreciated.

I was told by a couple of DXB customs officers that it certainly isn't a problem to bring one back in... Bearing in mind they sell them all over Dubai here! Then again....................

I have spoken to a colleague who deadheaded ex DXB and took a drone as hand luggage in a separate bag. His extra bag was pulled to one side by security in DXB but they didn't seem to be too bothered, once they found out what it actually was.
