Nice article Don. What are you trying to say? That CEOs are well compensated?
I agree that most are to paid to excess and are not worth their total compensation package.
If you look at Delta's package he did manage a rise of over 200% in profits. Is he worth the $17 million? Certainly not but what does Timmy receive including the kick backs? I'm sure it is excess of the U.S. Managers.

You've mentioned 'graft', 'kick backs' & 'hide' - ing money by EK. You also have a strong opinion on STCs pay.
Is that speculation or do you have an independent source to back that up.
You see I listen to a lot of CC tell me things they 'read on the Internet' by experts.
I'm just wondering are you one of these speculators that take rumor & innuendo and convert to fact.
I'm not saying you're wrong I'm only interested in facts.
And whether or not you have any.

Neptune, just pointing out bean counters always pay themselves first. Regardless of where they are. Ek muppets are not the only ones with their snouts in the trough. Ando's pay rise will always happen now, pilots will always be in the future.
The doubling of profits that delta achieved was done by writing off debt in one year, and making the same money the next but now being able to state huge percent profit increase. Huge bonus and back slapping all round. Oink oink.

I agree Don that there is no Nirvana but as Greorge Orwell said some are more equal than others. There are pluses and minuses everywhere.
Fillion I don't have any inside information. By the way I don't know any STC. I would like to know how much Timmy really makes though. That mansion of his in central England don't come cheap.

Why are you so bitter about EK if you had been there only for 2 years?
You tried it, it did not work, you got your dream job why such hate?
Heck, I do not even remember where were the ops. offices of a company I used to work for...

I don't think hate is the right word little jet. I try not to hate because that means "they" win. Did I get disillusioned with what has transpired at Emirates? Absolutely. Are you not disillusioned here with everything that has happened? Do you wish things were better or are you happy with your lot?
I have actually been here more than 2 years. This is a huge step up from my previous company so according to some I should be eternally grateful. While it is a step up from my previous airline my new airline will be another step up.
I knew EK wasn't a career when I came but I didn't think things would transpire the way they did by just about everything going negative and rather quickly.
As others have said even the most ardent supporters of EK are starting to see the light. When White Knight comes to the Dark Side it will be time to shut the doors.
