EGHQ: Medical Benefits Drop-off

Does anyone know if there is a Medical Benefits drop box near the flight crew checkin area or do I need to come in on my day off and drop it at the 2nd floor Employee Center?

If there is one near our checkin... Where is in?

Thnx in advance.

Yea... That is an option too.

However I'm leaving on one of those crazy 9 day BKK-SYD-CHC trips. I have a big claim in AED so I'd like to get it in asap in hopes it gets processed sooner. I'd rather not wait the 9 additional days.

Kinda hoping there is a drop-box somewhere near where we check-in.

Can anyone else shed some light...

Payscale....

4 words: Pain-In-The-A$$.

Consists of scanning doc's, filling out online request form and dropping them off at EGHQ. Doesn't sound like a lot but takes time and energy.

Excellent... That's exactly the info I was looking for FlapHandle.

Thanks mate. I thought there was a dropbox in there somewhere... Just couldn't be certain where I saw it.

Are you talking about the internail mail box? If so that's different from the one on the 2nd floor (which has slots for ticket refunds, medical claims, education claims etc)

If you dropped it in the internal mail you'd need to be sure it's addressed to the correct dept (or make sure you have a copy so when it invariably doesn't arrive you can send it again)

Imho it's worth the quick walk upstairs to put it at the 2nd floor as the couple of times I've sent via internal mail it 'never arrived maam'

Its written on the form where and how to send it. Just send via internal mail - red box after security on 1st floor, or beside mailboxes on Ground floor. It has to be clearly addressed to them as written on the form page 2, otherwise it might never make it. Ironically they have lost my documents twice, but both times they acknowledged they lost them after receiving them
Rim-job, there is no scanning of docs, you just have to fill out the basic info on HR direct and then send the original forms, invoices the conventional way anyway. Why it makes much of a difference that we complete that 5 minute process ourselves, I have no idea. If it was all scanned and there was no hard copy crap then it would make a lot more sense!

Whilst we are the subject of refunds, anyone have a better understanding of the process when it comes to family members on CAT A tickets being downgraded? Having paid for one class but they travelled in a lower class. Is the original amount charged? and therefor do I have to claim the difference back? (Tried via trips but there seems to be no option) or do the company charge the correct amount?
Thanks it's all soo easy to figure out.

EGHQ: Medical Benefits Drop-off

The process is all written down in the staff travel manual. You need to submit the original downgraded boarding cards via the drop box in HQ and submit a refund request in TRIPS.

Irish777 is correct. In addition you can only put in the request the following month. Clever accounting trick so the company keep your money for something they haven't provided. Keep discovering.

If i recall with the ticket refunds if you got to TRIPS and look under REFUNDS, search for the ticket used/partially used you can get the refund for the downgraded sector. Don't think you need to submit your "stub" since its an electronic transaction ie e-ticket.

With the medical claims/ESA it's still back to the old days of licking an envelope, addressing it correctly and posting it. Guess soon they will issue stamps to affix onto the envelopes.
