easy to say
its easy to say for some one with type and hours who have been flying for a while!
What about low hours pilots who spent lots of money to get their license? How can they get a good Airline job if they are not welling to pay more?

They should have done some research beforehand about the pilot's market before investing all that money... Just to remind you that it used to be payed by the companies years ago until too many pilot's wanabees started to accept to pay to become a pilot instead of passing the recruitment tests from the airline's training department.
With your logic , when will you stop to pay ? , When released on line as a first officer ? After 1500 Hrs when trying to unfreeze your ATPL ? Will you also pay to get your command upgrade ? And when looking for a first jet rating if your were on turbo-prop ? And when looking for a first heavy type rating ? To become a TRI ? Then a TRE ? ....
It is already like that in some places , I even know some first officer who failed their command upgrade paying some TRTO organisation to get an SFI type rating !!!

I can see your point, there is no doubt that you are right and pilots should not pay for their type, line or any thing else!
But the situation is very bad for new pilots, I have UK CPL, paid 105 Thousand $ to get it, paid few thousands to renew my ratings last month too, since 2012 I am unemployed in flying job!! Every one promised us the sunshine and told us industry is picking up, picking up my A**!!
what shall I do? or should I say what shall we do 'all unemployed pilots'?? forget about flying and look for another dream?
the only advise I give now when some one tells me he wants to be a pilot, boy be a dentist, you get paid well and costs you much less!
I think all flight school should shut their doors now, they are only filling the world with pilots without jobs available
