Is there seniority at EK??
Was wondering if upgrades at EK are conducted in seniority order, or rather by individual selection by experience/ wide body/ previous command time etc. ??

Yes here is, not strictly adhered to for upgrade , depends partly on fleet, fast track upgrades were done a few months back on the 330. 777 upgrades went way down for awhile but that's over due to man many more gaining the flt time that were passed over . 777 going to be slow for awhile. Right now the fleet to be on is the 380.

Seniority works for staff travel.
It's more or less followed for promotion but only on the same fleet. i.e. as stated above, Airbus FO's may be promoted 1-2 years ahead of B777 and vice versa. It's a lottery.
Seniority is a factor in the rotational bid system, when it works. Swapping seems to be the preferred method of self rostering these days.
