thats good news, congrats....when did you apply/what experience you have?

3200 hrs 737, applied last year and done pre selection already, from what i hear full assessments starting in January, but you know what the rumour mill is like, so not sure if thats true or not!

FO interviews are beibg scheduled again. Courses filled till April 2013. Now recruiting directly to the A380. Still hiring on the Boeing 777... thats the long and short of it. ..

Are there any additional requirements for new applicants to be selected for the A380?

On the 24th of November someone posted on this thread that the requirement to be selected directly into the A380 is 3000 hours on Airbus (fly-by-wire).

Anyone know if EK try to keep people with boeing backgrounds on the 777 fleet and people with airbus backgrounds on the airbus fleets?

1000 h on A330 and another 1500 hrs on A320ies. Any chance of A380 DFO for me at this time?

DEFO 380 start date not confirmed yet so interviewing for that might not have started yet, it is going to happen. A boeing pilot that scores well on the interview would be considered for the 380/330, a high score puts you at the top and than it can ve what ever course needs to be filled first.Funny how only a few months ago everyone one was saying delay until they offer you 777 .

Word on the street is 3000hrs of which 1500hrs are FBW Bus required for DEFO 380. 1st course is planned for Apr..ish. Hold pool is emptied to all bar 60 I believe. Some of those will be invited back to re-interview.

2500 hrs on a minibus only. A few weeks ago, I got a call for phone interview. After few questions, the recruiter said we will call you in feb or mar. Then my application status was changed from "Under review" to "shortlisted". I hope to be interviewed asap.......

Sounds good, I got that phone call in April but the recruiter didn't give me a date......I guess CRJ 900/1000 time is not good enough.
