QR fleet transfer

How easy is it to switch fleets at Qatar if one joins as a second officer? Say you want to move from the 320 to the 787 after 2 years. Is that possible?

No fleet transfer till after three years.

Whilst they are sourcing future 787 crew from the 320, there are plenty of pilots ahead of you who will want to make the switch.

But as they say in Qatar, you never know what tomorrow brings.

Thats not completely correct.. first bunch of B787 crew come from the B777 fleet and sometime after the 3rd B787 arrival there will be some movement on the A320 to the B787. not as many as some tend to think / hope, thereafter it will be combined with Direct Entry pilots. In typical airline fashion the Direct entires will exceed the number of transfers.. same same as usual, no different.
