Well Sitting, I'm not sure I'd go as far as saying the profession is a disaster, I would say though, that certain companies make it feel that way!!!!!!!!!!! It sure ain't what it used to be - And That's For Sure!!!
What we have to remind ourselves of from time-to-time here in the ME, is that we are all INDEPENDANT CONTRACTORS! Offering up our "wares" for hire.
As captjns said earlier, we have no collective body out here,.....................
No representation, No one looking out for what is right, legal, honorable, fair, ---Except Ourselves.
Maybe the next time we are "forced," "drafted," "made" to take a move that doesn't fit with the model we have pictured for ourselves, we will excercise that other right that our "independent contract" gives us......
say NO!!! After all, what's the worst that can happen??...... I take my independent contract somewhere else.
