EK to Dublin Jan 2012

Rumours that Dublin to start Jan 2012 on a three class mini bus. Now we just have to wait to be sure to be sure .

I am sorry @rsey, I should have typed slower so you could keep up. EK will be flying to Dublin. If your still having problems understanding the point, try reading it again slower, or maybe get an adult to read it for you and explain. Hope that helps.

Probably set it up to facilitate RYR pilots getting more easily to the interview and for getting back home now and then once they´ve made the move...

Good move by Emirates. It's a route that will do well, IMO. Although, I wonder why they've gone for 3 class operation, rather than a higher density two class, such as Newcastle is currently.

Maybe A332 availability?

What would be the market ? Irish travelling through Dubai to Aus, or interlining from the US through Dublin ? The Irish economy is down the toilet, so it makes me wonder (no irony). Didn't Emirates try this through HAM a few years back and it wasn't as stellar as projected.

Emirates are still operating HAM but as a standalone flight, not continuing on to New York. Suggests to me that as a destination it is doing pretty well. Sorry for the thread creap.

I believe this is more about (Irish expat) traffic originating in the Gulf than traffic originating locally in Ireland.

Since Aer Lingus left the market, Irish expatriates had to fly via the UK or other gateways to get to the republic.

Judging from Fibber Magees in Dubai, Emirates should have no problems filling an A330 (as long as they keep serving hydraulic refreshments)....

mate...

Hey mate... do you know how many airlines fly to Dublin without making of it such an incredible event ? I would say all European carriers do... but I see in the Third World that still makes the news.
"A top ale trip " is definitely the expression you would expect form an EK commander..I bet you will include it in your descent PA...

"...but I see in the Third World that still makes the news."

Sheihkyourarse; are you suggesting that if QF or NW should ever decide to fly an A330 from their respective hubs to DUB, you would expect neither the local press in those cities nor QF/NW to mention it???

Sure; whatever makes you happy.

Let's just agree to disagree....

I've found that adding sad and strange members like Sheiky to the ignore list adds to my sanity and stomach acid levels.
Sad to be so bitter and twisted after you've decided to leave a company that you can't stop yourself coming onto these forums to vent your spleen still!
