Dnata Grade 9 - Please Help!

Hello everyone,

Could anyone from the EK staff on this forum tell me how many firm/subload tickets I can get for:
  • My parents
  • My Hosuemaid (on my sponsorship)
on annual basis. I have been offered a Grade 9 position in Dnata E Commerce and the total package is around AED 30K (including everything). I have my own accommodation so won't be taking EK's. Is this package reasonable or shoud l I negotiate further?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Not sure Dnata and EK staff travel have same contractual benefits, as you have had the offer suggest you ask them if they could give you detail on staff travel. As for the package, it all depends on your situation, single/married/kids/accompanied/unaccompanied/ cost of own accomodation.

Thanks for the reply. I am leaving another ME carrier to join Dnana and have had 7 years of prior industry experience (not UAE though). The reason I am concerned about the housemaid subload tickets is I would be needing the nanny of my kids to frequently travel with me (I am a single mother with 3 kids all under 8 years). I do not want to ask the HR and sound downright stupid, if u know what I mean.
Any input regarding my situation on this forum will be greatly appreciated.

Dnata grade 9

Dnata and Emirates are part of the Emirates Group and generally should have the same pay grade and compensation package.

You mention that you are getting in all 30,000 all inclusive.
Does this include the housing allowance or are you being provided accommodation.

Normally Your salary will include a Basic Salary and a few allowances ,
like telephone and car allowance and if you have a certain technical expertise you may also get an additional allowance, like some computer and engineering specialist get an additional allowance, and so do pilots and engineers , although they don't fall into the same pay grade structure.

In addition you will get medical and dental package that allows you to use the Ek Medical centre for your self and family .
You and your spouse if you are married and upto 3 children will be entitled to Annual Leave ticket to your home destination on Confirmed Economy , (Upgradeable to Business class if children not traveling with you) .
The nanny is allowed I believe 2 ID 90 ( service charge ) sublo travel . So this will not help you with the kids during the holidays and vacations as EK is very busy anyway and during peak times , sublo is a no no.
Apart form that you can purchase for you and your family unlimited ID 90 tickets and over and above that you can provide rebated tickets for your parents and siblings one ID 90 each. Also unlimited ID 50 ( confirmed ) depending on the route and flight you choose . e.g Emirates may have 5 flights a day to LHR , but the ID 50 may not be open on all the flights. It may be available during a certain period of the year or on a particular flight.
In addition Emirates assist with schooling fees for 3 children upto the age of 18 years . Generally you will find that the assistance is between 75 -90 % of the school fees .
Grade is 9 has incremental payscale built into it . So you may try negotiating a Higher start within the Grade 9 payscale .
Emirates is an ever expanding airline and is always on the look out for productive and keen workers and there is always a chance for enhancing your skills by getting a lot of training and improving your chances for more challenging roles .

Apart from that EK also has a provident fund scheme that ek contributes 10% of your Basic salary while you are required to contribute 5% ..
In addition ,depending on how much profit Emirates makes you can get a profit share . Last year Eligible employees received 12 weeks basic salary

Emirates Grade 9 Salary

Does anyone know the current salary range for Emirates Grade 9? Does Emirates pay a joining bonus? If so, how much?

No…. This is a pilot’s forum. How would pilots know the terms and conditions and for that fact joining bonuses of a ground staff member? Way to bring back a 12 year old thread! SMH
