EK A330 Pilots. Are you going to grow a pair?

So, some time ago TCAS advised that overtime would now only be paid over 92 hours, instead of the then current 76 to 80'ish threshold. Reason given was the ULR flying that was being done; i.e. the airline is now moving towards a long haul airline. Of course, we know the real reason is that everyone was going to be doing over 90 hours, and they didn't want to pay the going rate. Never mind, you have to go with the official line.

Now, we get in the weekly update, a statement that the Airbus, A330 in particular, is moving towards a medium and short haul role.

So, any of you A330 lot going to grow a pair and ask for the re-instatement of your previous, contractually agreed, overtime threshold limits?

Or are you weaker than the Sharjah taxi drivers?

Quite reasonable, seems to me.
OTOH, fight city hall, expect consequencies.

Good luck...

Are you also known as 'Sittingidly'?

FYI I brought this up at a 'wash-up' some time back with TCAS himself (as a spineless Airbus pilot and all that) and was told point blank - NO.... Well, I did ask... But anyway - why don't you stay with hucking camels at the top of a step-ladder

ByeByeDubai,

I agree he does have a point, although it is hard to view his post as anything less than a blatant windup......good on those that took the bait

The basis behind the change of Productivity Threshold was that the airline was doing more ULR.
About your comment, here...........actually the basis of the new productivity threshold was cost cutting. It had as much to do with ULR as the DEWA cap had to do with cutting greenhouse gases, and this was eventually admitted at a washup when SVP something or other was queried on it by us.

Wipe your eyes, girls.

Wipe your eyes dry, girls. Once you have stopped sobbing and can read clearly, this is how the gender stakes play out.

White Knight: Girl
Donpizmeov: Girls Blouse
Sandhound: Big Girls Blouse

ByeByeDubai: Man
Kennytheking: Man

411A: Hermaphrodite

None of your girls have actually answered, what is in fact, a perfectly reasonable question. The official line has been contradicted. You are entitled to your overtime payments as per the original schedule, given this official contradiction. Your responses lead me to think one of three things must be true:

1. You, in fact, don't have a pair.

2. You are so desperate to get onto the Ugly Bus that you will not do anything to jeopordise that. (If this is the case, what more confirmation do you need that things are so rotten and out of kilter here that a simple question could ruin your career?).

3. You have made disasterous investments here, so will put a positive spin on anything to justify your continued presence.

Righto, enough of playing the man (or the girl), not the ball. Why don't you use this forum for something useful, rather than inane, pointless comments about nothing in particular. We are all being shafted, and this forum is probably the only means available in the short term to air genuine grievances. Which shows what a sorry state of affairs this place is.

A lot keeps being said about 'professionalism' on this forum. Well, pilots are the only alleged 'professionals' I know that willingly walk around with half a rough pineapple hanging out their rear end.

Some very valid points there Mr Hucker.

Can I add a few more?

1. Bus divers are working 70 to 80hrs per month (we get paid for block not duty hours).
2. Boeing drivers seem to be working 90 to 100hrs per month.

So this increase in productivity threshold would seem to hurt the Boeing part of the clan in the pocket in a more substantial way than those of the Bus. Please refer again to my first post.
As an aside when the Bus was doing all the long haul flying we got paid far more for the same hours than you Boeing folk seem willing to do it for. Ah! So is that why it changed? They knew the Boeing driver would fly for free cause the 777 is such a fine aeroplane?

Am interested that you would take a shot at people staying here as very few in the company have been here as long as you? Don't worry I am sure epi will bounce back.

These 777s must truly as good as advertised, as it would seem you do not need to be very bright to fly one.

It does not matter if you are Boeing or Airbus, if you are an EK pilot you are a huge pu$$y with no ba!!s.
What other airline pilot would allow not honouring your contract or working 90 hard time hours a month? Yes EK pilots need to grow a pair but it goes to all EK pilots not just the Airbus pilots.

EH your assumption that no AB pilot, or any pilot for that matter hasn't "grown a pair" now or prior to the new description of AB routes as short/medium is simply wrong. Just because we don't post on Pprune how big our balls are doesn't suggest they're not massive. Mine are currently resting in a wheel barrow beside the bed. Can't wait to get on the Big Bus so that I can take them on a trip......

But really. You have no idea why I'm not now in Korean. Maybe I failed the medical. Or the sim ride. Who knows? Gonad size has nothing to do with it. But all this is a bit off topic.

If you have a contract that states you would be paid over x hours and it's now gone to y hours, you would feel aggitated too.

Probably silly to ask if there was any consultation on this?

What type of person starts a sentence with Err? You pompous, imperialistic brat!

Um, err, eh, it, it, it, its, um er, ummm, its 'THIS WAY' you little brown people
Oh heck - a bad word from sittingidly... YOU are in fact a tw@t SI...

Why?

1. Because you think it's acceptable to slag airbiii pilots off (see one of your initial posts)

2. You think it's acceptable for Gadaffi to bomb the **** out of civilians and not have the gonads to stand up to it (see your posts in the 'Middle East Unrest' thread). Why not let Hitler, Pol Pot and Stanlinistic types take over the world

3. Handbags gents @ 5 paces

4. The fact that I mentioned your name with little relevance to the said poster shows what a little person I think you are

Cheers
WK

Do you expect anything less from a management pilot?
