How many Qataris will get their hands dirty building stadia, roads, railways, airport buildings, hotels? Very few. On the plus side, this means a lot of work for carriers bringing all these expatriate workers in and taking them home. And most piots/cabin crew are expatriates too. As are the lower managers and workers in all the support industries.
Qatar's footie team won't do anything, it'll be foreign sides all the way.
So all in all, there are plusses. I wonder how the profits will be shared, though?
My big worry is where the England team gets hold of its supplies of sausages and bacon for team breakfasts, and of course beer for post-match celebrations. To say nothing of the supporters' needs.

This is a massive win-win for Dubai - a huge boost to tourist numbers in the slow season with no financial cost.

Qatar have been quite nifty in recent years in awarding passports to ,among others , Kenyan athletes . I can assure all of you that by 2018 they will have a football team ( and coach ) which will avoid them the title of 'worst performing host nation' . Maradona anyone ?

But i think most of us are just wondering if a country that use to deport or put in jail people simply because they kiss each other or huge in public.. is "mentaly" ready to organise an event like the world cup??
Just wondering whats gone happen to the brazilian female fan dancing samba in ""revealing"" clothes..ooops???

Let me give you one advice as well:
In proper English i think we use to say " you are" and not "you is" ...
At least if you want to insult people do it properly..
No by the way,my mother is not form Brazil....and your point is....???
