I dont know what made me expect this even long time ago, because the DAE Name disappeared all of a sudden! What i knew was the EK current A330s will be phased out in 2013 to join DAE... i wonder what is going on over there right now.. they even Shutdown their flying school last year.. which was based in RAK. Any news?

I dont think that Alpha Aviation Would take the stuff from Rak, because they had 2 Sr-22s while alpha has Cessnas and i dont know if they already finished certifying them, besides i think DAE had a fixed 737 sim where alpha will need a FNPT2 sim and they will have an A320 LEVEL D sim.. thats all i knew from last year when DAE was just shutdown. Things may have changed.

I would like to know what penalty (if any) DAE had to pay Airbus and Boeing for canceling such a big number of aircraft.

Though I'm pretty sure EK and UAE Govt used a lot of influence through their current and previous A & B orders to ensure no penalty was forthcoming or it gets reduced significantly.
