It's just a business move to keep their assets from being seized by Kuwait who's been pursuing court action in various countries due to outstanding repatriation debts going back to GW 1.

Check around and don't let this news be taken like they are gone. They'll likely re-emerge with some new name very soon.

"Strictly business."

quite sad on how the Iraqi Govt is conducting its business in this manner knowing full well that KWI Govt and KU are not that stupid and would have planned for this move to eventually take place.

Iraq is swimming with oil money so they should pay their dues owed to KU and move on with life. As it is KWI Govt forgave $ 7 billion worth of debt after Saddam was overthrown.

Anyone know how this will affect refueling at Baghdad? Flying there on Sunday, and we normally use Iraqi to refuel, and they are the only refueling agents there after the govt chased skylink away.

Maybe Kuwait should move on with their lives and let their 'Arab Brothers' rebuild and recover from their years of trauma and hardship.

Shame on Kuwait for the way they behave. A real disgrace to the Arabs. No wonder they're not liked!!!

aeroground, have to agree with you there. Didn't know skylink supply fuel on the military side. We usually position across to refuel.

As an aside, was in Baghdad and Erbil today, and Iraqi was still operating as usual on there regional flights.
