Qatar?

Man, my little research on Qatar is not looking so good! Is there anything good at that place? 7 days off a month, minimum rest, warning letters??? I wanted to try for DEC--I qualify but dont wanna live in an airplane. My search continues!!

One trip to Europe very month?

When I was there I remember having either four or five scheduled trips to Europe one year. My second homes were in Colombo, Dhaka and Kathmandu.

To be honest, I think QR is a company full of frustated pilots. It seems that Mr QR UNITED never had 6,500 hours or maybe he was born with already 500,000 hours. Ok gentlemen I appreciate your advices and opinions but I don't think it necessary to call people naive and what else. I don't know about you, but I think that it's better to work at QR then not working at all. Just one more question for some of you, if QR is so bad to work for, why don't you leave? Maybe you're so experienced that no one would give a job.

Again, to be honest, it was a mistake to post anything here. Didn't get any real help.

Take care
Mike

Just to share my agony. I left a perfectly healthy airline to Join QR on an offer of appointment as a PIC on the 777. I have wrapped up my house and got my kids out of school when BANG! three days before leaving I get an email that my fleet is changed to the A320!! I dont think this would happen in any other airline in the world! I have gone back to begging my previous employer to hire me and I think this is downright UNPROFESSIONAL. Either you dont offer, and well if you do, honor your word! My previous employer is now hiring me as a line captain when I left as a TRI. please try my shoes.

Wowow.......!!!! Wouldn't want to be in your shoes togapilot. Well,at least your previous company was charitable enough to offer you a job.Especially in times such as these.Mind if I ask what was your previous company? Just curious....was it spice by any chance? Like I said, just curious....
Thanks.
EXTREMELY unprofessional of QR.Did u take up their 320 offer eventually.

FIRE THE ENGINES:
With all my respect if i'm not wrong you came here with 2 questions:
1st one:Chance of getting a job in QR: well nobody has a cristal ball.Good chance if you are rated IMHO.
2nd one:Benefits beside the salary: answer has been posted!
But Again.. to make it short an maybe more complete :Accomodation-NO Bonus-NO PENSION-Thiny end of service benefit-Thiny increase(3%) on the basic only for the first four year-free laundry for uniform-(schools fees if you have childrens)-LOL (but with a lot of restrictions..!),useless IMHO and Medical insurance- One annual leave ticket/year (seat not even confirmed 100%!!)-ID 90 ticket unlimited.

P.O.S Airline

QR has the worst airline enviroment i ever experienced.Even if they offer you the B777 and u right now is flying a low cost B737NG.DO NOT COME and if YOU COME,DO NOT BRING WIFE AND KIDS.

The P.O.S Airline in the World.+

QR is only good for people that cannot go anywhere else or for people who doesn´t have the type and not that much experience. And even those guys will leave JUMPING SHIP.

HEY NUMBER 1: PLEASE JOIN QR.YOU GONNA BE MORE THAN WELCOME ,they need smart people like you
