Muscat is my pick of the places in the M/E to live. Locals have the derserved rep for being the friendliest, awesome beaches, spectacular mountains and desert, school (ABA is excellent).....
The only down side is generally expat contracts are well below the industry norm (hence my move).

Eventhough i'm not living in Muscat, have been there already..have to admit that it's a one of the nicest place to stay in the gulf, beside that local people there are much more friendly and not Arrogant compared to other place in the gulf
...because in Muscat (oman) locals are working everywhere ..as well(taxi,hotels shops.....), and this give them a totally different(and better) attitude!
